HAND CARVED 4 KIDS ONE DAY WORKSHOP
FRIDAY 30 SEPTEMBER | PAMBULA
Mums, Dads and kids get your whittling hats on for a special parent and child spoon and kitchen carving day. Under my guidance and the parent's supervision everyone will walk away with a smile and a spoon or spatula carved by axe, knife and hand from a small responsibly sourced log. Children from 12 to 16 can attend with one or two responsible adults. Both adults and children must pay the workshop ticket price of $65 per person.
ABOUT THE DAY
We'll start the day at 10am with a look at some hand carved spoons and spatulas and then turn our attention to the tools you will be using to make your own kitchen goodies. Both you and your child will be shown the safe way to use these tools and with steady guidance you will be shown all the steps you need to make your first spoon. We'll break for morning tea and fueled with cake you will continue on your journey to being a fully fledged spoonerd! The day ends at 3pm with everyone brandishing their proud creations for a group photograph.
Children between the age of 12 and 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. The accompanying adult is responsible for the child's safety at all times. The accompanying adult must also be willing to learn carving techniques on the day to support the child's learning. The tools we will be using are very sharp and potentially dangerous if used incorrectly. Any participant displaying behaviour that could endanger themselves or other participants may be asked to leave. By booking a place on the Hand Carved 4 Kids workshop you agree to these conditions.
